Hey people,
just got back from a trip to Cuba. Mostly it was a missus pleasing cultural type thing but I did invest in bringing my kite gear out. Had 2 dope full-on days on my Furia 2 9m (damn that kite is sweet!) but annoyingly only one underpowered day to try out my new Furia Ltd 13m for the first time after that shocking windless winter we've been through. Still, it looks like the wind has returned. I'm heading to Cornwall this weekend and should be out for a wave session at Gwithian/Perranporth/Watergate (not sure yet) on Sunday - It's gonna be sweet but a bit of a shock after kiting in just boardies in toasty warm water. Heres a couple pics from the holiday.

hey allister,
ReplyDeletewhere in cuba did u go?
was flying out in varedero and maria la gorda last year august.
great spots!!
some nice pics!
that was on Cayo coco, though most people round there were kiting at Cayo guillermo. Was a nice spot (Oasis playa/blue bay hotel) esp if you kited east a mile or so there was an amazing low tide lagoon. Wouldn't reccomend if you were with a beginner as quite onshore sometimes and tiny beach at high tide.
